  Wild Animals
When visiting Malawi, you will enjoy viewing various types of wild game. You will experience seeing lions, lionesses, their cubs in their natural habitat. You will see the majestic elephant feeding or quenching its mammoth thirst at water holes. Water holes are the best places to catch animals in their most natural environment. Your tour guide will guide you to best positions for viewing animals at such holes.

Very early in the morning, you may glimpse the massive hippo grazing tender dewed grass. You will see antelope, zebra, and hyena playing their part in the largest ecosystem of the Malawian savannah. You may also catch the elusive leopard and different varieties of birds and fish. Malawi has a lot of animals including the big five (lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, and rhino). For the few dedicated professional conservationists and marine biologists, Malawi has a rich plethora of unique birds and fish species.

Tip: You should bring your fully charged outdoor cameras to the game reserves and wildlife national parks to immortalise your close encounters with wildlife. For your safety, however, we recommend that you should desist from using flash when taking photographs of animals since this may startle them and draw their attention to you. It is also strongly advisable to avoid littering and giving food to animals in the parks and game reserves.
